Three Global Conditions for Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Use: an implementation framework
To save what’s left of nature on this increasingly human-dominated planet, conservation needs to become a top priority around the world, from the wildest of wildlands to the densest of cities.

Living in Harmony with Nature: a Framework for Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Use.

The world is not in uniform condtion and therefore the challenges for living in harmony with nature vary.  The Three Global Conditions for Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Use (3Cs) framework, is a practical guide for achieving nature conservation and sustainable human use across the varied conditions of the Earth.

The 3Cs framework identifies three key terrestrial conditions—urban and agricultural areas (Cities and Farms), shared lands, and large wild areas—and tailors conservation actions to meet the needs of each. From greening cities and supporting sustainable agriculture to creating extensive protected areas and preserving indigenous knowledge, this approach addresses the unique challenges of each condition while fostering global ecological connectivity and resilience to climate change.

The path forward requires bold, collaborative international action, including shared responsibilities for biodiversity conservation and sustainable practices. Together, we can ensure a thriving planet for generations to come.
